Bill Rosenau brings 30 years of experience in agribusiness and nearly 15 years of experience in accounting to his role at CFO Systems. His diverse accounting background includes Big 4 public accounting and corporate accounting within several industries including agribusiness, food processing, manufacturing, and construction.

Bill’s extensive background includes budgeting and modeling, mark-to-market accounting for commodities and derivatives, hedge accounting, cost accounting, inventory valuation and controls, cash account management and controls, risk assessment and reporting, and both external and management reporting design and execution. In addition, he has been extensively involved with leadership and development of personnel at a variety of levels.

Because Bill is involved with his family’s farm operations, he is able to relate to the opportunities and challenges faced by both agriculture and small businesses in today’s ever-changing environment.

As the Accounting Manager for a dynamic, customer-focused $750 million product line, Bill built and led an accounting department as well as developed and implemented all back office and month-end close tasks and processes. Additionally, he developed and executed several complex budgeting and modeling processes related to balance sheet and income statement results for multiple locations.

As a Plant Controller, Bill worked to increase the accuracy of monthly production reporting and accounting by building new production models and cost allocation methods. His public accounting experience includes audits of large and small clients across several industries as well as the development of procedures for the State of Nebraska related to audits of title insurance companies.
