Wayne State College student, John Steffensmeier, has been awarded the first CFO Systems Annual Accounting Scholarship. This $1000 scholarship is available to students at Wayne State College who are at least a junior and majoring in Business Administration-Accounting.
Steffensmeier is from Clarkson, Nebraska, and graduated from Clarkson High School. After two years at Northeast Community College, he transferred to Wayne State College. He is on track to graduate with an accounting degree and plans to become a CPA. He spent the summer of 2018 working as an intern at Nucor Steel in Norfolk, Nebraska, and continued working with Nucor in the accounting department through the fall semester filling in for an employee who was on leave.
CFO Systems is proud to support the students in the accounting program at Wayne State, the alma mater of managing director of CFO Systems, Brett Frevert. Frevert commented, “We are thrilled to give out the inaugural award to John. He is a dedicated student with a passion for accounting and his school.”
The CFO Systems scholarship is available through the Wayne State Foundation. More information and a link to applying for the many scholarships through the Foundation can be found here.
