Kate Ostdiek offers over 18 years of progressive experience in finance, contracts, and business operations. As CFO and Part-Owner of Calvert Systems Engineering, Kate managed all aspects of company finances including cash flow, budgets, taxes, financial statements, incurred cost statements, and corporate insurance. In addition to serving as 401(k) Administrator and Fiduciary, she led annual employee benefits selection and was the primary contact for all corporate consultants that included financial statement audits, 401(k) audits, and legal counsel. Kate also managed internal operations staff including finance, contracts, HR, and IT. During her time as CFO, Calvert grew from 80 to 100+ employees with locations in eight states.

Prior to joining Calvert Systems, Kate was employed at Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH), serving in multiple roles over eight years. Through the Global Operations (GO) Team, she led regional contract management support for over 20 contracts valued at $70M, and guided all aspects of the contract lifecycle from proposal development through close-out, ensuring financial stability and compliance with contract terms and corporate policies. Kate successfully contributed to the corporation’s numerous proposal wins in Omaha, growing their employee presence from 12 to 100+. In her final BAH assignment, she served at USSTRATCOM’s Global Innovation and Strategy Center developing strategic assessment methodologies for the Command’s critical mission set.

Kate enjoys digging into finance and business operations issues to determine the problem and implement a solution. Because of her wide variety of experiences, she is able to work with team members at all levels and across many skill sets.
