Tom Bahrenfuss brings over 20 years of accounting and business experience to the CFO Systems team. After serving as an internal auditor for one of the largest retailers in the Midwest, traveling to various locations to ensure compliance with corporate and external regulations, Tom worked as an assurance manager for an international accounting firm, serving clients in the renewable energy industry. His next stop was to open a Sioux Falls office for an Iowa-based accounting firm. 

These experiences prepared him for his next chapter as the CFO of a regional developer and hotel management company, where he managed all aspects of accounting and finance and was responsible for liquidity management, risk management and insurance, tax planning and compliance, financial statement forecasting, bank relationship management, contract negotiations, and information technology. Some of his notable achievements include overseeing the completion of two multi-million-dollar hotel renovations, leading the organizational and accounting start-up activities for a new construction company, and securing over $15 million state grant funds, PPP loans, and Main Street Funding to ensure the financial success of various entities. 

Tom relies on his wealth of experience in various aspects of accounting and business, his ability to identify areas of risk in an organization, and his passion for providing outstanding client service to be an excellent partner for his clients.
