Jim Harshman is an accounting and finance executive with over 30 years of experience leading the Accounting and Finance departments for privately held and publicly traded U.S. and international companies. Coupled with his extensive experience leading Information Technology and Human Resources departments, Jim has also developed, managed, and enhanced the financial performance of companies through financial analyses, strategic planning, process streamlining, expense reduction, and increased operational efficiency. Jim holds CPA and CMA certificates.
In his most recent role, he served as the President and CFO of a company with $70 million in annual revenue and 185 employees. He developed and executed a strategic plan that increased the profitability of a division from $1.4 to $4.1 million in just four years, led several cost saving initiatives that reduced the company’s expenses by over $1 million annually, and also developed key performance indicators for plant operations and several sales and production reports that increased sales and profitability and ensured an excellent rate of return on investments.
Jim has held CFO and Controller positions for mid-sized companies in a variety of industries including manufacturing, food processing, and distribution. He also has significant experience in the information services, printing, and engineering services industries. While in these roles, Jim significantly increased the timeliness, efficiency, and effectiveness of each company’s Accounting, Information Technology, and Human Resources processes and its staff.
