Jim Patterson has over 25 years of progressive experience in operational accounting and strategic financial leadership roles across a variety of industries. He has a talent for building and leading high performing teams and cultivating excellent relationships. Jim is an innovative thinker, a new idea generator, and an experienced liaison and translator between finance and the business.
In his most recent consulting role, Jim developed and implemented a full-scope financial analysis function for a private-equity owned client in the agriculture retail sector. Jim has built and managed highly complex business planning models used for monthly forecasting, long-term financial planning, and supporting M&A activity. In prior roles, he led the annual budgeting and monthly financial reporting processes, had direct oversight of the business valuation process, established share price, and managed employee stock ownership.
Jim’s background also includes serving on several leadership teams creating complex financial models, developing and implementing new processes, and supervising audits. He relies on his experience educating all levels in financial understanding, from new talent to high performing functional leadership, to help clients streamline processes, operate more efficiently, and grow.
Jim holds an MBA from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Illinois Wesleyan University.
