Mark has approximately 35 years of leadership experience in accounting, finance, finance operations, acquisitions and integrations, internal control environments, and reporting and analytics within manufacturing, public accounting and reporting, hardware and software, agriculture and, most recently, the Ag-Tech sector. He is a CPA (Inactive) in the State of Tennessee.
Mark’s areas of expertise are assessing and building high performance teams while streamlining processes and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and analytics. Other areas of strength include financial close, process improvement, acquisition and integration of cultures and systems, and cross-functional communication. He relies on a common-sense approach to solving complex issues, focusing on improving internal controls and efficiencies while reducing overall operations costs.
Mark has completed SOX 404b requirements successfully in a 4-month period after his then company had material weaknesses in the 2 prior years. Additionally, he successfully outsourced manufacturing to a contract manufacturer improving gross margins by 20% and has created shared service centers domestically and in Europe streamlining the processing environments.
