Mark Nelson has over 35 years of experience working with businesses in a variety of industries. In this capacity, he has helped his clients analyze their operations to increase operating efficiencies, streamline their administrative procedures and in turn, maximize their overall profitability.
Throughout his career, Mark has worked primarily with middle market companies in numerous industries, specifically focused in agribusiness, financial services, service companies, manufacturing, and transportation. This valuable experience has been gained through years of public accounting experience with national and local firms, as well as through internal audit, financial analyst and Chief Financial Officer positions.
In addition to assisting his clients with their audit and consulting needs, he has also been involved with several corporate reorganization and recapitalization opportunities. Some of Mark’s more significant projects have included turnaround projects for stressed agribusiness clients, including major debt refinancing and contract restructuring to maximize cash flow for growth opportunities.
Mark also serves on various community boards including serving as Treasurer for the Medici Foundation (funding for the UNL School of Art, Art History and Design) and as Treasurer for the Nebraska FarmHouse Fraternity Association.
